POWERED BY THE ROOTS

NURTURING THE SEEDS

Criterion Urban Farm is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing local residents and children of Detroit with the opportunity to come together, learn, and get involved in creating a sustainable and healthy environment. We strive to create a safe and interactive space where the community can unite for educational purposes and so much more!

Our mission is to promote a genuine culture of community building, while connecting people to the revitalization of Detroit. We believe that everyone needs fresh food and green spaces. We invite you to join us in this movement to help build a brighter and healthier future. The new Africa criterion farm is a Detroit garden and Urban Farming organization.

Our farm is full of activity all throughout the year. From planting to harvesting, we have projects that are perfect for individuals and groups who want to get involved and make a difference in their community. Explore our website to learn more about our projects and how you can get involved. Cultivate something special today with us!

If you are looking to be a part of something genuine and full of organic interactions, then look no further. Our team at Criterion Urban Farm is composed of hardworking individuals who share a love for nature and an enthusiasm for bringing our people together. Each member is driven by their personal skills and wisdom to empower others. Chairman Brother Ali is a veteran who recently lost his leg below the knee. His sunny disposition on life keeps him connected in the garden despite his life-altering experiences.

We believe in the power of getting your hands dirty while participating in the joy of farming as a form of fun and educational activities for yourself and children. The children learning hands-on is designed to teach kids about agriculture, sustainability, and building while having a great time. Get involved today and watch as we cultivate a love for the natural world collectively.
